KernelCare extension: the paid extension is not licensed

Symptoms

• KernelCare extension in Plesk control panel appears as not licensed:

  PLESK_INFO: This paid extension is not licensed. Some or all the functions and features of the extension may not be available. Purchase a license to unlock all functions and features of this extension.

• However, the license appears as valid if checked through CLI via SSH:

  # kcarectl --license-info
  Key based valid license found

• The extension is available with  **Buy** button. However, the license for the extension is already installed.

Cause

KernelCare license is bought from CloudLinux directly? not through Plesk Online Shop,  and uploaded through Plesk License Management so Plesk does not know about that license key.

Resolution

License keys for extensions should be bought via Plesk Online Store.
