- Plesk has been upgraded from Plesk 11 to Plesk Onyx.
When accessing Plesk or retrieving a license key in Plesk at Tools & Settings > License Management > Retrieve Keys, the operation fails with:
PLESK_ERROR: Error: The version of your installed software is 17.5 for Unix/Linux, but the current license version is 11.0-11.6 for Unix/Linux. Upgrades from 11.0-11.6 for Unix/Linux to 17.5 for Unix/Linux are not available for this license.
PLESK_ERROR: Error: The license key is invalid. In order to use Plesk, you need to obtain and install a new valid license key. You are trying to use a license key created for another version of Plesk. Contact Plesk sales representatives to obtain the proper license key.
Error: Updated license key is not valid.
Key Update Status
The version of your installed software is 17.5 for Windows, but the current license version is 11.0-11.6 for Windows. Upgrades from 11.0-11.6 for Windows to 17.5 for Windows are not available for this license.
The license is valid for Plesk 11. To install this license on newer Plesk versions, it needs to be upgraded.
For Plesk Partners
Upgrade the license in Key Administrator (KA) or Partner Central. If it cannot be done, please contact your sales representative.
Once the license is upgraded, in Plesk go to Tools & Settings > License Management and click Retrieve Keys to update the license.
