- Plesk Onyx for Linux
- Plesk Onyx for Windows
Why after Plesk upgrade from Plesk 12.0 to Plesk Onyx content of some configuration files are different?
Plesk is a hosting panel used to manage services required for web-hosting (like web-servers, database servers, mail servers etc). Some of these services are not developed by Plesk (for example, Apache and nginx web-servers, Postfix service etc).
Since Plesk 12.0 release in June 16, 2014 these components shipped with Plesk were updated, their configuration was changed. As well as operation system installed on server with Plesk has been changing too. In order to keep pace with these changes Plesk was updated accordingly.
Moreover the business logic of Plesk functionality has significantly changed since Plesk 12.0. It is the reason why there are some difference in the configuration files of Plesk 12.0 and Plesk Onyx.
