    Hello,

    I tried to change this parameter but I'm still having this problem. What else could I try? Maybe do I have to reboot any service after change?

    This is my situation:

    • Roundcube says limit is set to 32 MB
    • Checked /etc/psa-webmail/roundcube/php.ini and i have this 2 following parameters: "post_max_size = 33M" and "upload_max_filesize = 32M"
    • In Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings > Maximum message size is set to 35000 KB

    I can't figure how to solve this issue.

    Thank you,
    Silvio

    Hello @Silvio Fei,

    The "Maximum message size" directive at the "Plesk > Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings" page changes the "message_size_limit" in the Postfix file:

    # cat /etc/postfix/main.cf | grep message_size_limit

    message_size_limit = 1024000

    Switching this value in Plesk reload/restart all required services - you can see it in the "/var/log/messages" file:

    # tail -fn0 /var/log/messages

    systemd: Reloaded Postfix Mail Transport Agent.
    systemd: Stopping Dovecot IMAP/POP3 email server...
    systemd: Started Dovecot IMAP/POP3 email server.
    systemd: Starting Dovecot IMAP/POP3 email server...
    systemd: Stopping Plesk mail filter service for Postfix...
    systemd: Started Plesk mail filter service for Postfix.
    systemd: Starting Plesk mail filter service for Postfix...
    systemd: Reloaded Postfix Mail Transport Agent.

    So, no additional actions are required here

    Maybe an email you try to send still exceeds the limits you set up? Try to increase them even more

    Hi Nikita,

    I tried your solution and now this is the situation:

        # cat /etc/postfix/main.cf | grep -i message_size_limit
        message_size_limit = 35840000

    then I run this command:

        sudo service postfix restart

    But I still have limit error when I try to attach 10Mb file within roundcube client.

    There is anything else I can try?

    P.S. For next time... how do you format blockquote in this ticket system? :P

    @Silvio Fei
    You have mentioned that "Roundcube says limit is set to 32 MB", do you mean this parameter?

    # cat /etc/psa-webmail/roundcube/php.ini | grep memory_limit
    memory_limit = 64M

    Check the /var/log/maillog, it may contain the more detailed errors, and if it does - try to search for other KB articles using these error.
