Question
Is Plesk planning to implement native support for MySQL 5.6 on CentOS 7?
Answer
No, native support is not planned, as CentOS 7 is shipped with MariaDB. MariaDB 10.x is a drop-in replacement for MySQL 5.5-5.7.
To have MySQL 5.6 on a new server, enable the repository and then install Plesk.
To upgrade MySQL to 5.6, refer to this article.
