- MailEnable service fails with the following error in the Event Viewer:
PLESK_INFO: The description for Event ID 10000 from source MailEnable cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
MailEnable SMTP Service (C:\PROGRA~2\PARALL~1\Plesk\MAILSE~1\MAILEN~1\BIN\MESMTPC.EXE) error: 123 Timed out waiting to access audit file (C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\CONFIG\Audit\Microsoft\AB\AUDIT-180130.log) to log Invalid authorisation attempt from 203.0.113.2 by [SMTP] for AB. Client IP: 203.0.113.2. Result=123
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
- There is no such directory on the server:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\CONFIG\Audit\Microsoft\AB\
- MailEnable service can be started via Tools & Settings >Services Management > Mail Server with no issues.
Windows forbid to create files/directories with the symbol (U+203C) "double exclamation mark" in names.
