Notification e-mails are received every hour from Plesk:
PLESK_INFO: Could not secure domains of John Doe (login email@example.com) with Let's Encrypt certificates. Please log in to Plesk and secure the domains listed below manually.
Securing of the following domains has failed:
Missed domain names failed to pass validation: webmail.example.com
Mail Service is disabled in Domains > example.com > Mail Settings
Webmail is not set to None in Domains > example.com > Mail Settings
PLESK_INFO: ERR [extension/letsencrypt] Failed to resolve challenge for domain webmail.example.com: Mail service is disabled on domain example.com.
webmail.example.com is not resolved into any IP address:
# ping webmail.example.com
ping: webmail.example.com Name or service not known
- Let's Encrypt is enabled in Subscriptions > example.com > Customize > Additional Services
Let's Encrypt cannot renew domain certificate due to webmail.example.com DNS resolution failure.
- Log in to Plesk
- Navigate to Subscriptions > example.com > Mail Settings and enable Mail Service:
- Change Webmail from None to Roundand press Apply:
1. Log in to Plesk
2. Skip securing it in Let's Encrypt interface in Domains > example.com > Let's Encrypt > uncheck "Secure webmail on this domain":
