As I read this article, I'm understanding that my IMAP, SMTP, and Hostname all need to be the same; i.e. mail.example.com. Is that correct? I feel that something is missing because I should be able to have my hostname set to s1.example.com, IMAP to imap.example.com, and my SMTP set to smtp.example.com.

    Hello @Michael Abram,

They should be the same and you should name the same domain name, for which certificate is specified at  Tools&Settings > SSL/TLS Certificates Certificate for securing mail (for Plesk Onyx).

For Plesk Obsidian, which will be released soon, SNI for mail was implemented and different domains may have different certificates for securing mail server.
