Hiding the Facebook Like button

Information

The Facebook Like button allows administrators to share the link to the Plesk page on Facebook with their Facebook friends. This button is visible only for administrators. Customers and resellers do not see this button.

When the administrator clicks the Like button in Plesk, a story appears in the user's friends' News Feed with a link back to the page.

In the Service Provider view the Like Button can be found at the bottom of the navigation menu. In the Power User view it is located at the page footer.

The Facebook Like button can be hidden by modifying the panel.ini file:

Add the following section in the configuration file /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/panel.ini on Linux or %plesk_dir%\\admin\\conf\\panel.ini on Windows. If the file does not exist, rename panel.ini.sample or create a new one in case the latter is missing as well.

[facebook]
showLikeLink = false

Note: When the button is hidden, no requests are sent to Facebook, as the button itself is an iframe element.
