APS Catalog is unreachable: Connection timed out

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

Symptoms

  • Application Catalog is unreachable:

    APS Catalog error: Connection timed out after 30000 milliseconds
  • Unable to open Customize tab:

        Secure connection failed

The following error appears in /var/log/plesk/panel.log :

  • mtr utility shows big packets loss at an intermediary router:

Cause

The issue is caused by intermediary router. It makes connectivity between Plesk and catalog.marketplace.parallels.com server unstable.

Resolution

Please contact your ISP or the company that owns these hosts (network routers) regarding this issue.
