First of all, the Panel.ini editor extension does not list all settings (e.g., ext-letsencrypt options ar missing!).
Second, the options are not explaind. For example, what is the userActivityTracking option group about? Can I disable this? It feels as if this is about tracking the usage behavior of Plesk?
Hi,
1. This Plesk extension does not manage the extension's functionality. You can find the description about such settings in our documentation:
https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/administrator-guide/plesk-administration/managing-lets-encrypt-settings.78586/
If you wish Panel.ini editor to manage extensions settings also, please submit a request at
https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions
2. Such functionality is not implemented in the extension also. So, you can submit such feature too:
As for userActivityTracking , it one of the parameters that is using internally to track Plesk's user actions. We do not recommend to modify this value.
Well, this is not a feature request. It should be standard for a software, that all potential options are documented!
Regarding userActivityTracking: Can you explain this feature? Is this data that is collected on the server and sent to plesk.com?
@b_p
Hello,
userActivityTracking will allow collecting data about user activities such as changing Services, Plesk settings or actions which raised errors/warnings in Plesk UI.
It will be documented as soon as the feature is implemented.
Hello,
It's implemented, because it's slowing down the panel! When it's slow, the panel waiting for "firehose.us-west-2.amazonaws.com".
So can you please document these settings.
What are the consequences of disabling the userActivityTracking for the for the 'daily use' of the panel?
Regards,
Andries Jansen
@Andries No consequences, at all.
@Plesk,
I want to turn this off, because of this the panel is somehow very slow...
Hi @12Webs
I believe that it cannot be the reason of slowness, please create a ticket to our Technical Support.
BTW you could remove it in extensions > my extensions > Panel.ini Editor > Click on it's name > more> remove
Hi there!
I also see traffic to
,BUT there is no [userActivityTracking] element in my Panel.ini - so my question how do i remove the option / traffic to firehose.us-west-2.amazonaws.com then?

Furthermore I can also see traffic to
How can I disable this?
Hello Wolfgang Reidlinger,
just add the following lines directly into your Panel.ini via Editor:
Kind regards,
Michael
Hello Wolfgang Reidlinger,
to disable all sentry.io requests, another option needs to be disabled too:
See also the discussion about it in the Plesk forum:

Kind regards,
Michael
This KB answer is simply incorrect. The Panel.ini Editor extension doesn't list all available settings, and a description of each setting is not available within the Plesk Documentation. This issue needs to be properly addressed. Please create ONE page of your docs listing all available settings, their possible values, and what they do.
Hi, does `[ip] blacklist` accept network ranges like `172.17.0.0/12` or just single IP addresses? Found this option in this blog article https://www.plesk.com/blog/various/ip-addresses-management-under-plesk/#hideips
Hello @Sebastian Thomas,
The option in panel.ini does not take CIDR ranges of IP addresses, only comma separated list of IP addresses.
