FTP users are unable to create
directory or upload any files in it. Permission denied error is shown.
For security reasons, it is not possible to create/modify sensitive directories via ProFTPd.
By default, attempts to do any kind of write to a path under
will be rejected. Please note that this is default ProFTPd configuration, not Plesk. More information can be found in ProFTPd release notes: http://proftpd.org/docs/RELEASE_NOTES-1.3.5a (1.3.5 section) and http://proftpd.org/docs/modules/mod_rlimit.html#RLimitChroot
Use another directory.
It is not recommended to disable this function, but you do it at your own risk. Connect to the server via SSH and do the following:
Add following line in /etc/proftpd.conf :
CONFIG_TEXT: RLimitChroot off
Restart xinetd service using following command:
# /etc/init.d/xinetd restart
