Symptoms

  • Unable to login to Plesk, websites are down
  • httpd process cannot be started with the following error:

    # service httpd start
    Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 221 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 7 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/zz010_psa_httpd.conf: Include directory '/etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/forwarding' not found
    [FAILED]
  • the following error can be found in /tmp/autoinstaller3.log

    [2016-11-19 15:52:04.859373] The following components should be removed due to packages dependencies: Plesk Web Server Configuration Troubleshooter (config-troubleshooter), All language localization for Plesk (l10n), Plesk Web hosting (web-hosting), PHP 5 from OS vendor (phpgroup), ProFTPD (proftpd)

Cause

There is a probability that one of Plesk mandatory component was marked as to be removed during installation of components.
