Symptoms

Unable to rename a domain in Hosting Settings:

Error: mailmng failed: Domain example.com does not exist at (SmarterMail::Local::Domain::Domain line 27) at getDomain(example.com)(SmarterMail::Local::Provider::getDomain line 203) at execute console command --rename-domain(vconsoleapp::start line 122) at execute "D:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\admin\\bin\\mailmng.exe" --rename-domain "--old-domain-name=example.com" "--new-domain-name=forestpine.com.sg"(vconsoleapp::run line 139) (Error code 1)

Cause

Corrupted SmarterMail domain.

Resolution

  1. Back up the D:\\SmarterMail\\Domains\\example.com directory (the actual path can differ from the one specified here).

  2. Delete the domain in SmarterMail: example.com > Actions > Remove

  3. Recreate the domain via command line:

    "%plesk_bin%\\mailmng.exe" --add-domain --domain-name=example.com
  4. Go to Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > Hosting Settings > example.com and rename the domain.
