Question

How to rebuild APSC database from scratch on Windows?

Answer

  1. Back up current APSC database:
    "%plesk_dir%"MySQL\\bin\\mysqldump.exe -uadmin -p<plesk_admin_password> -P8306 apsc > apsc.sql

Since Plesk 12.5, a shortcut command is available for backup creation:

    plesk db dump apsc > apsc.sql
  1. Log in to MySQL server and drop\create an empty APSC database:

    > drop database apsc;

    > create database apsc;
  2. Restore the database schema:

    cd %plesk_dir%MySQL/bin

    mysql -uadmin -p<plesk_admin_password> -P8306 apsc < C:\\apsc_mysql_db.sql
  3. Register the database

    >"%plesk_dir%admin\\bin\\php.exe" -c "%plesk_dir%admin\\conf\\php.ini" -dauto_prepend_file="" "%plesk_dir%admin\\plib\\scripts\\register_apsc_database.php" --register -host localhost -port 8306 -database apsc -login apsc -password "<plesk_admin_password>"
  4. Check the APSC integrity by installing an APS application (WordPress, for example). If it fails with Access denied for user 'apsc'@'localhost' error, fix the issue using instructions from article .
