Emails are not delivered from Wordpress contact form to Plesk mailboxes

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Windows

Symptoms

Emails are not delivered from Wordpress contact form to Plesk mailbox info@example.com that is setup in the WordPress Contact Module Settings. Emails to external mail servers are sent successfully from the Wordpress contact form.

There are no any MailEnable logs in %plesk_dir%Mail Servers\\Mail Enable\\Logging\\SMTP related to info@example.com

The header of the email sent from a WordPress contact form to an external email contains the following:

DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/simple; d=elasticemail.com;

There is Elastic Email plugin enabled in WordPress

Cause

Elastic Email plugin does not allow emails to be sent from the WordPress form to Plesk mail server. This plugin reconfigures the wp_mail() function to send email using HTTPS (via Elasticemail API) instead of SMTP.

Resolution

Disable Elastic Plugin or configure it properly so that it does not reconfigures wp_mail() function for a WordPress contact form.
