How to remove a license from Plesk server?
It is possible to delete the Plesk license by following the following steps:
Connect to the server via SSH;
In order to delete a license that is currently installed on a Plesk server, remove all /etc/sw/keys/keys/key* files that can be found using the following command:
# grep 'key-number' /etc/sw/keys/keys/key*
/etc/sw/keys/keys/keyXX4Zoadj: <core:key-number core:type="string"></core:key-number>
/etc/sw/keys/keys/keyXXCeE5i5: <core:key-number core:type="string"></core:key-number>
So remove all /etc/sw/keys/keys/key* files that were found:
# rm -rf /etc/sw/keys/keys/keyXX4Zoadj
# rm -rf /etc/sw/keys/keys/keyXXCeE5i5
Note: To keep the server active for several days, just re-activate Plesk with a trial license. When it is expired, Plesk GUI will not be accessible. But websites will keep working.
