MSSQL database is empty after migration

Symptoms

Source Plesk uses remote (external) MSSQL database server, the destination uses local MSSQL. Plesk migration is successfuly completed without any warnings or errors. However databases on the destination serveer are empty (no tables) after the migration.

Cause

Plesk on the source server has no write access to temporary network directory specified in Plesk > Tools & Settings | Server > Database servers > MSSQL SERVER > Settings | Pereferencs > Temporary network directory

If you try to create database backup manually using Plesk Database Backup Manager, the following error message is appeared:

Error: dbbackup failed: Unable to backup database 'DB_NAME'
Access to the path '\\\\SERVER_IP\\SHARE_NAME\\FOLDER_NAME' is denied.

Resolution

Fix access permissions for temporary network directory.
