Plesk was installed without microupdates: Plesk Installer process has received termination signal and stopped working, Interrupted by user

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

Symptoms

Full installation type was chosen during Plesk deployment, however no microupdates were installed.

The following is found in /tmp/autoinstaller3.log :

Done!
Congratulations!
All stages of the installation/upgrade have been finished.
psa is now running on your system.
...
Further, use the following commands to start and stop the system:
service psa start and
service psa stop respectively.
Bootstrapper has finished action (exec time: 0 sec.): parent_name='PLESK_12_5_30', sequence='post', stage='commit', sequence_order='1', operation='install', exec_cmd='rm -f /tmp/pp-bootstrapper-mode.flag; rm -f /var/lock/parallels-panel-maintenance-mode.flag; :'', m_arch='', output: ~empty
Plesk Installer process has received termination signal and stopped working (signal number 2).
Error: Interrupted by user

Cause

MU installation was interrupted by a user signal: after "Congratulations" message appeared on a screen, installation was interrupted manually.

But a "Congratulations" message does not mean that installation has been completed. It appears after installing base packages. Then microupdates are being installed. It might take some time for microupdate patches to be downloaded. In some cases it can take up to a minute or two.

If microupdates installation had not been interrupted, the following entries would appear:

>Installing patches...
>File downloading PSA_12.5.30/microupdates/MU1/common/_usr_local_psa_admin_plib_Repair_Db_ConsistencyRule_DomainServiceIpAddressCollection.php: 100% was finished.

Resolution

Install microupdates manually:

# plesk installer
