Cannot update WordPress ToolKit Security in Plesk 12.5: Error Too many open files

  • #PPPM-4076 "Trying to fix WordPress permissions via the Plesk interface could result in an error if the ulimit parameter for processes running under the psaadm user was too low."

Symptoms

Cannot update Wordpress security for directories and files using WordPress ToolKit.Permissions for files and directories are marked as failed after clicking on Check Security button in Wordpress Toolkit.

The follwing errors can be found in /var/log/plesk/panel.log :

Failed to open safely /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/./wp-admin/options-discussion.php: Too many open files
open_basedir_with_nofollow: opeat failed: `.', Too many open files
open_basedir_with_nofollow failed

, stderr: Incorrect permissions on /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/./wp-content/uploads/js_composer: expected is one of 0755, actual is 0777
Incorrect permissions on /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/./wp-config.php: expected is one of 0644, actual is 0600

Cause

This is Plesk internal issue with ID #PPPM-4076 , which is planned to be fixed in future Plesk updates.

Workaround

Replace /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/vhostmng-content file with its fixed copy from attachment .
