Unable to change IP address for webspace using CLI: Unknown error 0xC00CE502

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.x for Windows
  • Plesk 12.0 for Windows
  • Plesk 12.5 for Windows

Symptoms

The following error appears while changing the IP address of the webspace using CLI utility:

"%plesk_cli%\\domain.exe" -u example.com -ip 1.2.3.4
An error occurred during domain update: An error occurred during changing of hosing settings: Unknown error 0xC00CE502 (COM Error C00CE502)
at Apply security for subdomain.example.com
(Error code 1)

Cause

Corrupted %plesk_vhosts%\\example.com\\.plesk\\.Security file.

Resolution

  1. Create a copy of the %plesk_vhosts%\\example.com\\.plesk\\.Security file.
  2. Remove the %plesk_vhosts%\\example.com\\.plesk\\.Security file.
  3. Run the following command:
    "%plesk_cli%\\repair.exe" --repair-webspace-security -webspace-name example.com

Note : This operation will delete custom permissions on folders in the document root of webspace example.com .
