Symptoms
Cannot restore domain in Plesk:
PLESK_ERROR: Error:
Archive error: from /var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/client_name/domains/example.com/client_name_example.com_mn_1310160418.tgz to /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com:
tar (child): /var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/client_name/domains/example.com/client_name_example.com_mn_1310160418.tgz: Cannot open: Permission denied
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Cause
Incorrect permissions on directories, sub-directories or files in
/var/lib/psa/dumps
.
Resolution
- Connect to Plesk server via SSH.
- Repair file permissions for the domain:
# plesk repair fs -y

I change the permissions of the whole server system leaving root unusable
Plesk 12.5 centos linux
Warning don´t apply this article. The server down.
I can not login with root "Acces denied"
All my server lost.
