Plesk Migration Manager cannot deploy content: There is not enough space on the disk

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.0 for Windows

Symptoms

Migration failed with the following error message:

Can not deploy content of domain example.com
Warning:
ForeignMigratorCore.MigratorException: System.Exception: There is not enough space on the disk.
---> System.IO.IOException: There is not enough space on the disk.

Cause

Plesk Migration Manager stores temporary files in C:\\PMMTemp folder.Not enough space C:\ drive.An internal request with id #3303 has been created to implement the ability to change the temporary folder location via Plesk GUI. The functionality will be included in one of future Plesk updates.

Resolution

In order to complete the migration, the temporary folder location can be changes manually:

  1. Free up some space on the C:\ drive

  2. Change PMMTemp path:

    2.1. Replace C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\PleskMigrationAgent\\BackupUtils\\ForeignMigratorCoreCommon.dll with attached file

    2.2. Set PMMTemp path in Windows registry:

    - Go to `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\\PLESK\\PSA Config\\Config`
    - Create a key `PMMTemp` with `REG_SZ` data type
    - Set the path to the temporary folder to drive having enough free space.

    2.3. Restart the migration
