Can '/dev/shm/SharedLockManagerStorage_v2' be deleted

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux

Question

Since Plesk 12, RKHunter finds /dev/shm/SharedLockManagerStorage_v2-90cdb64ad8 : data. Can this be deleted?

Answer

It is strongly recommended do not delete this file while Plesk is running. If you still need to delete the file, better to do this when Plesk is not running. Otherwise, you will face Plesk Permission denied errors in Plesk GUI and other unexpected behavior. Some additional details could be obtained in #213384369
