APS installation stuck

Symptoms

An APS installation is stuck. It does not fail, but seems to do nothing at all.

Cause

This issue is caused by multiple unfinished sappmng processes.

Resolution

Please do the following:

  1. End multiple stuck sappmng processes:

    Start > Run > cmd > taskmgr.exe > go to Processes tab > right-clink on `sappmng` > End Process Tree
  2. Clean up the psa.longtasks table:

    "%plesk_bin%\\dbclient.exe" --direct-sql --sql="delete from longtasks"
  3. Clear the application cache:

Tools & Settings > Applications & Databases > Application Vault > Clear Cache
  4. Try to install the desired APS again.
