Plesk is inaccessible: Peer's Certificate has been revoked

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.x for Linux
  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux

Symptoms

Plesk is inaccessible with the following error in web browser:

This organization's certificate has been revoked.
Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

OR:

Peer's Certificate has been revoked.
(Error code: sec_error_revoked_certificate)

Cause

Expired or revoked certificate.

Resolution

In a browser it is possible to temporarily disable OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol). Instructions for Firefox:

  1. In browser address bar type the following to access Firefox configuration page:

    about:config
  2. Locate security.OCSP.enabled parameter and set it's value to '0'
