Upload with Internet Explorer fails with error: Unable to upload the files

Symptoms

Upload documents or images into image gallery module does not work in 9/10/11 versions of Internet Explorer browser, the following error appears in Presence Builder panel:

And Download Message for json File appears in Internet Explorer browser:

Cause

This behavior has been submitted as a software issue with internal id #PPB-4405 . It will be fixed in future product updates.

Resolution

Hotfix for WPB standalone :

1. Back up the following files

   # cp /usr/local/sb/htdocs/js/minimized/Editor.js{,.backup}
   # cp /usr/local/sb/htdocs/js/Sb/editor/DocumentsPanel.js{,.backup}
   # cp /usr/local/sb/htdocs/js/Sb/form/FileComboBox.js{,.backup}
   # cp /usr/local/sb/include/SB/Controller/Plugins/Resources/Sb.php{,.orig}
   

2. Go to Presence Builder directory

   # cd /usr/local/sb
   

3. Download the patch to the sitebuilder directory

   # wget https://support.plesk.com/hc/article_attachments/115004388369/ppb_12.0.7_std_patch_4405.zip
   

4. Unpack the archive and replace the existing files

   # unzip ppb_12.0.7_std_patch_4405.zip
