Rapidly changing technologies and the changing business environment influence the level, timing, and character of demand for particular product versions and components. These drive the need to introduce new products and services as well as to end support of, or ability to, purchase older licenses.
END OF PURCHASE ABILITY ANNOUNCEMENT
As the hosting industry and the cloud services powered by Plesk continue to grow, it becomes critical to prevent and minimize the probability of software security intrusions. The most vulnerable to security attacks are older license types. To minimize the possibility of Plesk EOL software from becoming the target of a security attack, we are ending the ability to order Plesk Perpetual Licenses.
NOTE: Any licenses that have already been created will not be affected by this change. However, we strongly encourage all of our Plesk Perpetual licenses owners to upgrade their licenses to the latest product version and latest security patch.
Plesk Perpetual licenses are no longer available as of September 12, 2012. After this date, you can still purchase Plesk 10.x/11.x or 12 lease licenses.
