Plesk upgrade fails: table was created with a different version of MySQL and cannot be read

Symptoms

Plesk SQL server upgrade fail:

Table './mysql.<TABLENAME>' was created with a different version of MySQL and cannot be read

Cause

Most probably error is a result of previous unresolved MySQL engine errors.

Resolution

Check database with mysqlcheck and move reported tables out from the database directory.

For example, we have an error:

Table './mysql/ndb_binlog_index' was created with a different version  of MySQL and cannot be read
  1. Navigate to MySQL data directory, usually it located in ' %plesk_dir%\\MySQL\\Data '
  2. Select all files with name ndb_binlog_index.*
  3. Move them somewhere from this folder.
  4. Recheck again
  5. Re-run Plesk upgrade
