Plesk autoresponder does not work: Mail handler call failed. Error occured during execv. No such file or directory

Symptoms

Parallels Plesk autoresponder does not work.

The following error can be observed in the /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog :

postfix-local[5173]: handlers_stderr: Mail handler call failed. Error occured during execv(/usr/local/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder):#012No such file or directory.

Cause

Handler is missing on the system.

Resolution

  1. Download the corresponding plesk-core package from the http://autoinstall.plesk.com and extract it:

    # mkdir /root/__package
    # cd /root/__package

    Ubuntu/Debian:

    # wget http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_11.5.30/dist-deb-Ubuntu-12.04-x86_64/opt/maildrivers/psa-mail-driver-common_11.5.30-ubuntu12.04.build115130819.13_amd64.deb
    # ar p plesk-core_11.5.30-ubuntu12.04.build115130819.13_amd64.deb data.tar.gz | tar zx

    CentOS:

    # wget http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_11.5.30/dist-rpm-CentOS-6-x86_64/opt/maildrivers/psa-mail-driver-common-11.5.30-cos6.build115130819.13.x86_64.rpm
    # rpm2cpio plesk-core-11.5.30-cos6.build115130819.13.x86_64.rpm | cpio -idmv
  2. Copy files:

    Ubuntu/Debian:

    # cp ./opt/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder /opt/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder

    CentOS:

    # cp ./usr/local/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder /usr/local/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder /usr/local/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder
  3. Make sure that permissions and owners are set correctly:

    # ls -l /usr/local/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder

    -rwxr-x--- 1 root popuser 232616 Aug 19 2013 /usr/local/psa/handlers/hooks/autoresponder
