When adding Firewall rules through Plesk Panel, it is not updating the IP tables rules and getting the following error in the browser.
Warning: The current configuration has not been activated. The system has been reverted to the previous configuration. This has occurred because there were connection problems between your browser and the server. Most probably, the reason is that you have arranged the configuration so that connections from your computer to the server are prohibited.
The new firewall ruleset is either blocking port 8443 access from your browser, or cannot activate new rules due to missing firewall modules.
- Check the settings for "Plesk administrative interface" rule. This rule controls the access to the Plesk administrative interface (port 8443) on the server. This service alows specific incoming connections and denies all others. You need to configure the rule to allow the access at least for the computer you logged from to Plesk Panel.If you logged from local network add you internal IP address of your workstation to the rule "Plesk administrative interface":
Plesk > Tools & Settings > Firewall > Edit firewall configuration > Plesk administrative interface
If you logged to the Plesk server from the network behind NAT, add you external IP address to the rule.
