How to decrypt MySQL admin password?
Is there a way to get MySQL
adminpassword in plain text?
MySQL admin password is saved in the "user" table as an encrypted value and it is not possible to get the password from the database in plain text.
Note: password is stored in /etc/psa/.psa.shadow file in the encrypted way, however it is possible to use it as a plain test password in order to log into the database with "
MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -uadmin " command
If the password is lost, the only solution is to reset it using the instructions from the article #213364309 .
