The system cannot find the file specified. Database backup will be not included to Plesk backup.

Cause

Microsoft SQL Server Management Objects package was corrupted. Failed backup task cannot be removed because migration.result file was not created in C:\\Parallels\\Plesk\\PMM\\sessions\\*** folder for a corresponding backup job. This file gets created only for completed backup tasks.

Resolution

I. To create a backup for a domain, reinstall MS SQL Server Management Objects:

Windows Server 2008 R2:

  1. Go to Server Manager > Features > Add Features and install the .NET Framework 3.5.1 feature.

  2. Then reinstall MS SQL Server Management Objects:

    msiexec /i "%plesk_bin%\\sqlsmo_x64.msi" /qb

Windows Server 2008:

  1. Install all Windows updates, including Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.Alternatively, download and install the package manually:

Full package ,

Bootstrapper

  1. Then reinstall MS SQL Server Management Objects:

On an x86 platform, run:

    msiexec /i "%plesk_bin%\\sqlsmo_x86.msi" /qb

On an x64 platform, run:

    msiexec /i "%plesk_bin%\\sqlsmo_x64.msi" /qb

While re-installation the following error may occurs:

    Product: Microsoft SQL Server Management Objects (x64) -- Setup is missing an installation prerequisite:
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 System CLR Types. To continue, install SQL Server 2012 System CLR Types from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=116207 and then run the Setup operation again.

Needed packages can be installed from the following location:

    %plesk_bin%\\sql_sys_clrtypes_x64.msi

II. To remove failed backup tasks, create migration.result file:

Create migration.result file in in C:\\Parallels\\Plesk\\PMM\\sessions\\*** folder for a corresponding backup job with the following content:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<execution-result status="success" />

After that, remove failed backup task.
