Resolution

  1. Ensure that the connection to the installation source is stable. For example, by sending significant amount of PING requests:

    On Linux:

    # ping autoinstall.plesk.com -s 1024 -c 10000 -Q 0x04
    PING gp1.wpc.v2cdn.net (93.184.221.133) 1024(1052) bytes of data.
    1032 bytes from 93.184.221.133: icmp_seq=1 ttl=58 time=66.6 ms
    1032 bytes from 93.184.221.133: icmp_seq=2 ttl=58 time=66.5 ms
    ....
    1032 bytes from 93.184.221.133: icmp_seq=10000 ttl=58 time=66.3 ms
    --- gp1.wpc.v2cdn.net ping statistics ---
10000 packets transmitted, 10000 received, 0% packet loss, time 10000173ms
    rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 66.359/66.515/66.678/0.275 ms

    On Windows:

    C:\\> ping autoinstall-win.plesk.com -l 1024 -n 10000
Pinging gp1.wpc.v2cdn.net [93.184.221.133] with 1024 bytes of data:
    Reply from 93.184.221.133: bytes=1024 time=66ms TTL=58
    ....
    Reply from 93.184.221.133: bytes=1024 time=66ms TTL=58

    Ping statistics for 93.184.221.133:

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 66ms, Maximum = 66ms, Average = 66ms
  2. Ensure that nothing prevents files from being written to the directory mentioned in the error message. It can be antivirus, firewall or filesystem restrictions.

  3. Try downloading and putting the required file from autoinstall portal to the server. For example::

    On Linux:

    # ls -ld /root/parallels/PSA\\_10.3.1/microupdates/manual/
    drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Apr 6 2013 /root/parallels/PSA_10.3.1/microupdates/manual/
    # wget --output-document=/root/parallels/PSA\\_10.3.1/microupdates/manual/Editor.js http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_10.3.1/microupdates/manual/Editor.js

    On Windows:

    PS C:\\>icacls "C:\\ParallelsInstaller\\parallels\\PANEL-WIN_12.5.30\\dist-msi-Microsoft-2003-i386"
    C:\\ParallelsInstaller\\parallels\\PANEL-WIN_12.5.30\\dist-msi-Microsoft-2003-i386
    WIN-KVET51JS51V\\psaadm:(I)(OI)(CI)(N)
    WIN-KVET51JS51V\\psacln:(I)(OI)(CI)(N)
    NT AUTHORITY\\SYSTEM:(I)(OI)(CI)(F)
    BUILTIN\\Administrators:(I)(OI)(CI)(F)
Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files

    PS C:\\> (new-object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadFile('http://autoinstall-win.plesk.com/PANEL-WIN_12.5.30/dist-msi-Microsoft-2003-i386/plesk-l10n.msi','C:\\ParallelsInstaller\\parallels\\PANEL-WIN_12.5.30\\dist-msi-Microsoft-2003-i386\\plesk-l10n.msi')
  4. Ensure that MD5 checksum of the file is the same that is specified in the configuration file. For example:

    [root@server ~]# grep -R 'jsw.min.js.map' /root/parallels/ | grep md5 | uniq
    ...
    /root/parallels/PSA_12.5.30/plesk-patches-12.5.30-deb7.0-x86_64.inf3: <file create_new="false" md5="a52d9c6fb8497aa478f6186c20b3f634" name="microupdates/MU15/common/admin/htdocs/javascript/jsw.min.js.map" target="/usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/javascript/jsw.min.js.map" />
    ...

If it is not, ensure that the correct file is downloaded. If caching proxy-server is used, ensure that proxy-server does not return file wich has been cached instead of requested file.

  5. Resume the update or upgrade.
