Unable to create subscription/domain: Add Protected Directory failed: no such table: ProtectedUrls (Error code 1)

Symptoms

  1. Unable to create subscription / domain, an attempt fails with the following error:

    Error: ProtDir_IIS::update() failed: Add Protected Directory failed: no such table: ProtectedUrls (Error code 1)
  2. The same error appears upon an attempt to synchronize password-protected directories data:

    "%plesk_cli%\\repair.exe"  --synchronize-protected-directories-storage
    no such table: ProtectedUrlUsers
    (Error code 1)

Cause

Corrupted UrlProtection.db and HotlinkProtection.db database files.

Resolution

  1. Download the UrlProtection.db and HotlinkProtection.db files and replace the corrupted ones.

    Here is the corresponding files' location:

    %plesk_dir%\\admin\\db\\UrlProtection.db
    %plesk_dir%\\admin\\db\\HotlinkProtection.db
  2. Update databases:

    "%plesk_dir%\\bin\\repair.exe" --synchronize-protected-directories-storage
    "%plesk_dir%\\bin\\repair.exe" --synchronize-hotlink-protection-storage
