How to migrate a particular reseller or subscription via command line.

Applicable to:

  • Plesk Onyx

Question

Is it possible to migrate only a particular reseller or a subscription via command line interface?

Answer

To achieve that, use the following instruction:

  1. Configure Plesk Migrator according to Migration Guide .

  2. Create the migration list with the command:

    Linux:

    #/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/modules/panel-migrator/plesk-migrator generate-migration-list

    Windows:

    >"%plesk_dir%admin/plib/modules/panel-migrator/backend/plesk-migrator.bat" generate-migration-list
  3. Open the created migration list using a text editor. It should look like as follows:

    # Admin subscriptions and customers
              Plan: Default Domain
                   domain1.tld
         Customer: client # client
              Plan: Default Domain
                   example.com
    Reseller Plan: Default Reseller
    Reseller: reseller # reseller
         Customer: customer # customer
              Plan: Default Domain
                   domain2.tld
  4. Edit the migration list by removing subscriptions, resellers, clients that should not be migrated. For example, to migrate only the reseller and his customer, remove everything but the following lines:

    Reseller Plan: Default Reseller
    Reseller: reseller # reseller
         Customer: customer # customer
              Plan: Default Domain
                   domain2.tld
  5. Save the changes.

  6. Start the migration.
