Answer

Follow these steps:

  1. Create database backup according to KB881

  2. Find the required server ID in Plesk database:

      mysql> > select id,host from psa.DatabaseServers;
    +----+-----------------+
    | id | host |
    +----+-----------------+
    | 1 | localhost |
    | 2 | 123.123.123.123 |
    | 3 | 100.100.100.100 |
    +----+-----------------+

    For example, new server's ID is 3.

  3. Use this ID to change current databases reference:

      mysql> update psa.db_users set db_server_id=3 where db_server_id=2;
    mysql> update psa.data_bases set db_server_id=3 where db_server_id=2;
  4. Verify the connection and database count in Plesk > Tools & Settings > Database Servers and remove unnecessary connection.
