- Plesk 11.x for Linux
- Plesk 12.0 for Linux
The following entry was added to crontab to syncronize time on the server every 5 minute:
CONFIG_TEXT: 5 * * * * ntpdate -u pool.ntp.org
However, it does not work. Server time not getting synchronized with NTP server time.
Misplaced cron entries in crontab file caused by incorrect syntax.
- Login to Plesk via SSH
Create a file
/usr/crontimeand add the following line to it:
# echo "ntpdate -d -u pool.ntp.org >/dev/null 2>&1" > /usr/crontime
Make the file executable:
# chmod +x /usr/crontime
Edit crontab entry as follows:
CONFIG_TEXT: 5 * * * * /usr/crontime
This entry means that the cron will be executed every 5 minutes and the server time will be synchronized with NTP server.
