- Plesk for Windows
How to check if Plesk license allows to upgrading Plesk to later version?
The possibility of upgrading to the next version is defined by Software Update Service (SUS) availability on the Plesk license.
SUS for a Lease license does not have an expiration date - it is valid while the license is valid. So, lease licenses can be upgraded to the next version during a panel upgrade.
If SUS on a Perpetual/Purchased license is active, the Plesk license will be automatically upgraded to the next version during the Plesk upgrade. If SUS on the license has already expired, you need to reinstate it to be able to upgrade the license.
SUS expiration date is not displayed in the Plesk menu Tools & Settings > License Management. To check exact SUS expiration date for your license, contact Plesk Licensing and Purchase Support.
If you do not know the license type or are not sure about SUS availability, contact Plesk Licensing and Purchase Support as well.
