How to check if license allows you to upgrade to later version of Plesk

Applicable to:

  • Plesk

Information

The possibility of upgrading to the next version is defined by Software Update Service (SUS) availability on the Plesk license.

SUS for a Lease license does not have expiration date; it is valid while the license is valid. So, lease licenses can be upgraded to the next version during a panel upgrade.

If SUS on a Perpetual/Purchased license is active, the Plesk license will be automatically upgraded to the next version during a panel upgrade. If SUS on the license has already expired, you need to reinstate it to be able to upgrade the license.

SUS expiration date is not disaplayed in Plesk Lincense Management menu. To check exact SUS expiration date for your license, contact Plesk Licensing and Purchase Support .
