Switching to Business Model fails with "Internal error"

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.x for Linux

Symptoms

  • Switching Business Model can not be completed, it fails with "Internal error".
  • When you log in to Plesk Panel you see following message:
  • Parallels Plesk Panel 10 employs a new business model. The essential business objects were automatically converted during the upgrade: clients were converted to customers, domains to subscriptions, and so on. However, several extra steps are required to complete switching to the new model. The steps depend on the way you used a previous version of Plesk to organize your business, so they cannot be performed in a fully automatic manner. Please complete switching to the Panel 10 business model.

  • But switching Business Model can not be completed, it fails with "Internal error" or says "The selected subscriptions were transitioned" but subscriptions are not actually transitioned.

Cause

Inconsistent information about domain administrator in ' psa ' database.

Resolution

Create a backup of psa database:

mysqldump -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow ` psa > ~/psa.dump.`date +%F.%s`.sql

All actions with database may be performed by using the following command:

mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa -sNe "select @dom_id:= (select id from domains where name='domain.tld');select @acc_id:= (select MAX(id) + 1 FROM accounts);insert into accounts values (@acc_id,'plain','secret_password');update dom_level_usrs set dom_level_usrs.account_id=@acc_id where dom_id=@dom_id;

Note: Replace ' domain.tld ' and ' secret_password ' in query above with actual data.

Try to switch subscription to the new Business Model again.
