Inccorect name is shown in Roundcube, when short POP3/IMAP mail account names are allowed

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.5 for Linux
  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux

Symptoms

When logging in to Roundcube using POP3/IMAP short name, the username ' @localhost ' is displayed in the user info section, instead of ' @domain.tld ':

alttext

Cause

This is Plesk internal issue PPPM-1342 , which is planned to be fixed in one of the next Plesk updates.

Resolution

As a workaround, modify Roundcube configuration file ' /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/main.inc.php ':

  1. Create a backup of the current configuration:

    # cp /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/main.inc.php{,.orig}
  2. Find ' username_domain ' variable in the ' /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/main.inc.php ':

    # grep username_domain /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/main.inc.php
    $rcmail_config['username_domain'] = '';
    // address, uses the username_domain value if not an email address.
  3. Set the ' username_domain ' value to %t :

    # grep username_domain /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/main.inc.php
    $rcmail_config['username_domain'] = '%t';
    // address, uses the username_domain value if not an email address.
