The search function in the Plesk user interface did not accept non-Latin characters

Symptoms

An SQL error is displayed if try to perform quick search by non-latin character:

Error: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1267 Illegal mix of collations (ascii_bin,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation 'like'<br><a href='http://kb.plesk.com/plesk-error/search?metaId=ae16085a731cf8274db5f2e4ccfeea61&messageId=962c77dcf4b05cea9e779ca14d08fcaf&file=Pdo.php&line=234&type=Zend_Db_Statement_Exception&message=SQLSTATE%5BHY%5D%3A+General+error%3A+Illegal+mix+of+collations%28ascii_bin%2CIMPLICIT%29+and+%28utf_general_ci%2CCOERCIBLE%29+for+operation' target='_blank'>Search for related Knowledge Base articles</a>

Cause

The issue is considered as software issue with id PPPM-1894 .

Resolution

Issue is fixed in Parallels Plesk 12.0.18 MU#26 : /en/213365969 .
