Plesk Reconfigurator running with errors

Symptoms

Following errors appears when running Plesk Reconfigurator:

Access is denied. (Error code 5) at Unable to connect to pipe \\\\.\\pipe\\P_2033b972-987b-4447-8064-5a833c79e500
The type initializer for 'reconfigurator.CheckPleskAccounts' threw an exception.
Access is denied. (Error code 5) at GetLongPathName('c:\\Plesk\\VHOSTS\\Servers')
Unable to execute "c:\\Plesk\\admin\\bin\\ApplySecurity.exe" --apply-to-plesk-registry:
Access is denied. (Error code 5) at RegCreateKeyEx subKey=SOFTWARE\\Plesk\\PSA Config
at (registry::create line 53)
at Create 'PSA Config' registry key(ApplySecurity::applyToPleskRegistry line 268)
at execute console command --apply-to-plesk-registry(vconsoleapp::start line 100)

Access to the registry key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Plesk\\PSA Config\\Config\\Packages\\mailserver' is denied.

Cause

Account from which Plesk Reconfigurator was started does not have an Administrator rights.

Resolution

Use Plesk Reconfigurator by starting it as Run as Administrator .
