End customer cannot use the Demo feature of the Parallels Presence Builder (PPB), when they open the URL like http://ppb.provider.com/Demo they see the following message:
Demo support is disabled
How can I enable the Demo feature on my PPB installation?
Follow the steps below to enable the Demo feature on the Parallels Presence Builder installation:
Open the main configuration file of the PPB installation in text editor, use the Parallels Knowledgebase article #116634 to find the configuration file.
Add the following line to the [general] section:
demo_mode = 1
Optionally, set the following parameters in the same section in the file (the default values are provided in the example below):
demo_max_file_size = 1048576 - maximal size of file which may be uploaded in demo mode (in bytes)
- demo_max_file_count = 10 - maximal number of files which may be uploaded in demo mode
- trial_site_life_time = 86400 - maximal lifetime of a trial site (in seconds)
PPB web interface language is defined by the localeCode in the GET-parameter, otherwise, if the parameter is undefined, the fallback_locale parameter in the configuration file is being used (e.g.
fallback_locale = en_US ).
When a customer opens URL like http://ppb.provider.com/Demo PPB creates trial site, web session and redirects the visitor to PPB web interface. If a customer already visited a paricular PPB installation their session will be detected automatically and PPB will open their trial site for editing.
