Unable to rename domain: mailmng-outgoing failed: ERROR outgoing No backend DB entries were modified

Symptoms

Unable to manage domain settings (rename domain, change hosting type, add email account, etc.):

mailmng-outgoing failed: ERROR:outgoing:No backend DB entries were modified.

Cause

Inconsistency of internal database used for outgoing mail limits:

'domains.name' in /var/lib/plesk/mail/outgoing/data.db was not renamed.

Resolution

Login to the database:

# sqlite3 /var/lib/plesk/mail/outgoing/data.db

Get previous domain id:

sqlite> select * from domains where name ='old-example.com';
10|old-example.com|1|130

Rename old-example.com to new-example.com in the domains table:

sqlite> update domains set name='new-example.com' where id =10;
