How to switch back to Kaspersky Antivirus module from Kaspersky antivirus version 8?

Answer

  1. Install the Kaspersky Antivirus module with Plesk autoinstaller (if the operation failed with unresolved dependencies please remove psa-kav8 package manually first)
    # rpm -e psa-kav8`

or

    # dpkg --purge psa-kav8
  1. Execute the following from command line:

    # gunzip /var/lib/psa/dumps/kav_db_dump.gz
    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysqldump -u admin psa > /var/lib/psa/dumps/custom_psadump
    # MYSQL_PWD=`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` mysql -u admin psa < /var/lib/psa/dumps/kav_db_dump
    # cp -f /var/lib/psa/dumps/kav4mailservers.conf /etc/kav/5.5/kav4mailservers/kav4mailservers.conf``
  2. In the Plesk interface, stop the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine on the Home>Modules>Kaspersky AntiVirus page.

  3. On the Home>Settings>License Management>Additional License Keys page and re-install Kaspersky Antivirus key. If the key was not installed - install it.

  4. Run the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine on the Home>Modules>Kaspersky AntiVirus page and wait several minutes for the updating bases. Bases were not updated if you see an error like the following:

Error: An error occured while starting Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine: an error during the anti-virus database startup.
Trying to start the KeepUp2Date service to update the viruses definitions...
Please run the Anti-Virus Engine after the updater finishes its work.
: Could not load antiviral bases: [80000001] File not found
  5. Run the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine on the Home>Modules>Kaspersky AntiVirus page.

  6. On the Home>Server-wide mail preferences page, select the Kaspersky Antivirus and click OK.
