Resolution

To access mysql database of Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5 for Linux

  • Login details for Sitebuilder database are stored in the configuration file /usr/local/sitebuilder/config ( /opt/sitebuilder/config for Debian/Ubuntu):

    [database]
    adapter = PDO_MYSQL
    dbname = sitebuilder3
    emulate_prepares = 0
    host = localhost
    password = fbaaee3a9e9c38565de26bfca949816b
    port = 3306
    username = sitebuilder_db
  • Login to the database using %host% , %username% , %password% , %port% and %dbname% :

    ~# mysql -hlocalhost -usitebuilder_db -p3305 -pfbaaee3a9e9c38565de26bfca949816b sitebuilder3

To access SQL Express 2005 database of Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5 for Windows

  • Database properties are shown in the registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\\SWsoft SiteBuilder for Windows

    Remember values:

    DBNAME
    SQLSERVER
    WSB_SQLUSER
    WSB_SQLPWD
  • Download SQL Server Management Studio Express and install it on the server.

  • Start the tool, put values you received from the registry into Connect to Server:

    Server name: <SQLSERVER>
    Authntification: SQL Server Authentification
    Login: <WSB_SQLUSER>
    Password: <WSB_SQLPWD>
  • Using this login credentials you'll be able to connect to the server.

  • Access database of Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder for Windows through:

    Databases > <DBNAME> > Tables

    Use " New Query " and " Execute " to manage the database.

Additional information

Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.x for Windows uses SQL Express 2005 database by default. Previously the application used MSDE database:
