Spamassassin files were not installed as CLI utils expect

Applicable to:

  • Plesk for Windows

Symptoms

While deploying a mail user, PMM outputs the following warning:

Warning: domain "%domain%"
Failed deployment of mail user %user@domain%
Warning:
Execution of "%plesk_dir%\\bin\\mail.exe" --create %user@domain% -passwd "" -passwd_type sym -mailbox true -mbox_quota -1 -forwarding false -ignore-nonexistent-options failed with return code 3.

Stderr is
Updating spam settings failed: Cannot exec 'spammng --update-event-settings --mailname=%user@domain%':
Could not find a part of the path '%plesk_dir%\\Additional\\Perl\\site\\\\share\\\\spamassassin\\\\user_prefs.template'.

Cause

SmarterMail SpamAssassin is used on the server. However spammng uses the file " user_prefs.template " from Plesk SpamAssassin for some inner things if Plesk SpamAssassin is installed.

Solution

If "SmarterMail SpamAssassin" was installed on the server, just uninstall "Plesk SpamAssassin" from the system.

Restart the migration.

Workaround

Manually create the directory "%plesk_dir%\Additional\Perl\site\share\"

mkdir "%plesk_dir%\\Additional\\Perl\\site\\share\\"

Put there the file " user_prefs.template " from " %plesk_dir%\\Additional\\SpamAssassin\\rules\\ "

copy "%plesk_dir%\\Additional\\SpamAssassin\\rules\\user_prefs.template" "%plesk_dir%\\Additional\\Perl\\site\\share\\"

Restart the migration.
