Scheduled task fails with error. PHP is not installed

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.x for Windows

Symptoms

Scheduled Task fails with the following error if run it using Run Now in Home > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > System Users > Scheduled Tasks page:

User: SERVER\\username
Running task: C:\\Inetpub\\vhosts\\example.com\\httpdocs\\myscript.php php -q
Started: Sat Oct 12 13:27:34 2013
Failed with error: Unable to start (C:\\Inetpub\\vhosts\\example.com\\httpdocs\\myscript.php): PHP is not installed

Cause

A php file is set as executable file in Path to executable file field under Plesk > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > System Users > Scheduled tasks > %name of the task% .

Resolution

In case it is needed to run PHP script using the task scheduler, the following path should be specified in the Path to executable file input box:

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Parallels Panel\\Additional\\PleskPHP5\\php.exe

and the script location should be specified in the Arguments field:

C:\\Inetpub\\vhosts\\example.com\\httpdocs\\myscript.php
