Unable to access FTP server, after Plesk was added to domain as DC

Symptoms

FTP user cannot login with correct username and password when Plesk server is a Domain Controller:

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\admin\\bin>ftp 10.10.10.10
Connected to 10.10.10.10.
220 Microsoft FTP Service
User (10.10.10.10:(none)): plesktest
331 Password required
Password:
530-User cannot log in.
Win32 error: The user name or password is incorrect.
Error details: An error occurred during the authentication process.
530 End
Login failed.

or

Access denied

The error from FileZilla:

Response:       530 User cannot log in.
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

Cause

FTP user is considered as domain user and domain name should be specified during login attempt.

Resolution

Use the AD domain name prior to the username, like AD_name\\plesktest :

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\admin\\bin>ftp 10.10.10.10
Connected to 10.10.10.10.
220 Microsoft FTP Service
User (10.10.10.10:(none)): AD_name\\plesktest
331 Password required
Password:
230 User logged in.
ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful.

or use server hostname prior to the username, like hostname\\plesktest :

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\admin\\bin>ftp 10.10.10.10
Connected to 10.10.10.10.
220 Microsoft FTP Service
User (10.10.10.10:(none)): hostname\\plesktest
331 Password required
Password:
230 User logged in.
ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful.
